Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) serves as the peak regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Established in 1986, KAMS aims to provide a unified voice for Aboriginal health and wellbeing while delivering centralised resources and advocacy in partnership with its Member Services.
As a member-based organisation, KAMS represents eight independent Aboriginal organisations and strives for a vision where all Kimberley Aboriginal people are empowered to be strong, healthy, and connected through community-controlled services. Our purpose encompasses delivering holistic health and wellbeing outcomes in partnership with Aboriginal-led organisations, grounded in Aboriginal culture and knowledge.
Position Overview
KAMS is seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to join their team on a full-time basis in Broome, WA.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, The KAMS Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the design, delivery, and ongoing management of the KAMS Learning and Development Plan to strengthen organisational capability and staff development. This position supports the implementation of the Workforce Development Strategy by working collaboratively with KAMS Managers to identify training needs, coordinate education and traineeship programs, and provide advice on learning priorities

Key Responsibilities
- Review current training approaches and materials across the business and provide recommendations for content and delivery improvement/optimization;
- Review and improve performance management processes together with HR advisors;
- Collaborate with the workforce team on general training requirements including support training for managers and induction training for new starters;
- After the annual appraisal process collate all of the training and include it in needs analysis results;
- Design and deliver online evaluation frameworks for all KAMS training; and
- Deliver on the key initiatives in the Aboriginal Workforce Plan.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong commitment to Aboriginal health and training. The ideal candidate will possess excellent record management, data collection, and reporting skills, along with the ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
Salary & Benefits
This position offers a base salary of $102,760 per annum pro rata, along with additional benefits such as:
- Accommodation Allowance of $13,000 per annum pro rata
- Annual Airfare of $1,285 per annum (after 12 months of service)
- District Allowance of $2,920 (single) or $5,840 (double) per annum pro rata
- Electricity Allowance of $1,440 per annum pro rata
- Optional Salary Sacrifice up to $30,000 per annum pro rata
