Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) serves as the peak regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Established in 1986, KAMS aims to provide a unified voice for Aboriginal health and wellbeing while delivering centralised resources and advocacy in partnership with its Member Services.
As a member-based organisation, KAMS represents eight independent Aboriginal organisations and strives for a vision where all Kimberley Aboriginal people are empowered to be strong, healthy, and connected through community-controlled services. Our purpose encompasses delivering holistic health and wellbeing outcomes in partnership with Aboriginal-led organisations, grounded in Aboriginal culture and knowledge.
Position Overview
The RTO Coordinator will be based in Broome on a Full-time basis. You will play a vital role in supporting the KAMS RTO and Workforce team, focusing on the delivery of reporting and funding requirements across all contracts. This position involves collaboration with funding bodies and training agencies to advocate for and grow KAMS RTO, ensuring compliance and effective management of student funding and data.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and understand RTO funding contracts and ensure compliance with all funding requirements.
- Coordinate student funding by entering relevant data into the Student Management System and managing funding applications.
- Assist with student recruitment, enrolments, and withdrawals while maintaining accurate student records.
- Compile and report quantitative and qualitative data to funding bodies, ensuring timely submissions.
- Maintain compliance with national RTO standards and prepare documentation for audits.
- Conduct annual analysis of student fees and manage invoicing and payment processes.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong commitment to Aboriginal health and education. The ideal candidate will possess excellent record management, data collection, and reporting skills, along with the ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Demonstrated understanding of funding bodies and reporting requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable qualifications include experience in the RTO sector, a Certificate IV TAE, and a valid driver’s licence. Local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidates are encouraged to apply.
Salary & Benefits
This position offers a base salary of $102,760 per annum pro rata, along with additional benefits such as:
- Accommodation Allowance of $13,000 per annum pro rata
- Annual Airfare of $1,285 per annum (after 12 months of service)
- District Allowance of $2,920 (single) or $5,840 (double) per annum pro rata
- Electricity Allowance of $1,440 per annum pro rata
- Optional Salary Sacrifice up to $30,000 per annum pro rata
