Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) is the leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Established in 1986, KAMS advocates for Aboriginal health and well-being while providing centralised resources for its member services, governed by a dedicated Board of Directors comprised of Aboriginal health leaders.

Position Overview
The Leadership Development Coordinator will be based in Broome on a Full-time basis. You will play a crucial role within the Workforce Team, focusing on the design, implementation, and evaluation of leadership and management development programs for KAMS and its member organisations. You will engage with leaders to identify their development needs and create tailored interventions that enhance leadership capabilities across the region, ensuring excellence in leadership is reflected in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing leadership programs that provide clear career pathways from aspiring leaders to executive roles.
- Working collaboratively with the Executive Manager Workforce to develop budgets and frameworks for leadership initiatives.
- Delivering and facilitating leadership development activities that incorporate various learning methodologies.
- Evaluating the impact of leadership programs and identifying areas for improvement.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful program execution and participant engagement.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leadership development with a proven track record in designing and implementing related programs. You will have excellent communication and facilitation skills, enabling you to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
- Essential background in leadership development or a similar discipline.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring, with a solid understanding of leadership theories and best practises.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of Aboriginal community-controlled organisational leadership requirements.
- Willingness to travel as needed and hold a valid driver’s licence.
Preferably, candidates will hold qualifications in Human Resources or Organisational Development, and local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants with established regional connections are encouraged to apply.
Salary & Benefits
The base salary for this position is $102,760 per annum pro rata, alongside a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
- Accommodation Allowance of $13,000 per annum pro rata.
- Annual Airfare of $1,285 per annum (after 12 months of service).
- District Allowance of $2,920 (single) or $5,840 (double) per annum pro rata.
- Electricity Allowance of $1,440 per annum pro rata.
- Optional Salary Sacrifice up to $30,000 per annum pro rata.
