Position Overview
The SEWB Capacity Building Officer will be based in Broome on a Full-time, 12 months Fixed-Term Contract. You will play a pivotal role in transforming social and emotional well-being across the Kimberley. By engaging with diverse communities and member services, you will help cultivate an understanding of SEWB and its impact on health. This role is a unique opportunity to invest in the future, enhancing the happiness and health of our people through targeted training and support.

Who You Are
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who embodies a commitment to improving the social and emotional well-being of Aboriginal people. You should have a strong understanding of cultural security and possess experience in delivering training and SEWB services. If you are passionate about making a difference and are willing to travel across the stunning landscapes of the Kimberley region, we want to hear from you!
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent is essential for this role.
- A deep commitment to Cultural Security in SEWB services.
- Proven experience in training development and delivery.
- Strong computer skills, including report writing and technology use.
- Current Driver’s Licence and ability to obtain a Working with Children screening clearance for WA.
- National Police Check or willingness to obtain one

Salary & Benefits
This position offers a base salary of $77,630 per annum pro rata, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
- Accommodation Allowance of $13,000 p.a pro rata
- District Allowance of $2,920 (single) or $5,840 (double) p.a pro rata
- Electricity Allowance of $1,400 p.a pro rata
- Annual Airfare of $1,285 (after 12 months of service)
- Optional salary sacrifice up to $30,000 p.a pro rata, providing you with the flexibility to maximise your earnings.
