Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) is the peak regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Since our establishment in 1986, we have been committed to advocating for Aboriginal health and well-being, while delivering essential resources to our Member Services.

Our organisation is the voice for eight independent Aboriginal organisations and aims to empower Kimberley Aboriginal people to achieve strong, healthy, and connected lives through culturally appropriate services. KAMS offers a variety of programs focused on holistic health outcomes, including renal services, mental health support, and workforce development.

Position Overview

The Stores Support Officer will be based in Broome on a Full-time basis. You will play a crucial role in assisting the Stores Officer with stock management for KAMS, including remote clinics and Kimberley Renal Services (KRS). This position involves inventory control, order processing, customer service, and maintaining quality assurance. The successful candidate will be proactive in identifying solutions to logistical challenges and ensure seamless operations within the supply chain.

As part of your responsibilities, you will manage stock inventory, coordinate deliveries, maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders, and uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness within the store environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in both independent and team settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and collaboratively with others.
• Professional demeanour and reliable attendance.
• Competent in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Holds a current “C” class driver’s licence and National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain).

Experience in customer service, stores, or warehousing is desirable, and local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidates are encouraged to apply. A confident driver of 4WD vehicles and willingness to travel in light aircraft would also be beneficial.

Salary & Benefits

The Stores Support Officer position offers a base salary of $66,259 per annum pro rata. Additional benefits include:

• Accommodation Allowance of $7,800 per annum pro rata
• Annual Airfare of $1,285 per annum (after 12 months of service)
• District Allowance of $2,920 (single) or $5,840 (double) per annum pro rata
• Electricity Allowance of $1,440 per annum pro rata
• Optional Salary Sacrifice up to $30,000 per annum pro rata
