headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation. Their primary focus is the mental health and wellbeing of all young Australians and they know that getting help early is the key to resolving these problems quickly. Headspace is making a difference where it's need most - with Australia's young people.
Headspace Broome is focused on providing young people aged 12 - 25 with support and advice for a range of issues. They provide free services including Counselling, Doctor's Clinics and Sexual Health Clinics.
Your Role in Making a Difference
As the Centre Manager of headspace Broome, you will be at the forefront of youth mental health service delivery, providing operational leadership and strategic oversight. This role will allow you to create a safe and welcoming environment for young people aged 12-25, ensuring they receive high-quality, culturally responsive care across various domains, including mental health, physical health, and social and emotional wellbeing.
You will lead a passionate multidisciplinary team, driving innovation and continuous improvement while fostering strong partnerships within the community. Your strategic vision will be pivotal in engaging young people and their families, ensuring their voices shape the services we provide.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an inspiring leader with a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health frameworks and a passion for youth mental health. Your expertise will include:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields such as Psychology, Social Work, or Health Services Management.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a management role within mental health or an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex service delivery environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a knack for building collaborative relationships.
- Experience with continuous quality improvement processes and navigating accreditation requirements.
- A current working with Children’s Check and National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain.
- A willingness to travel within the region and hold a current WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
Desirable attributes include experience in youth and mental health sectors and local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander connections.

Salary & Benefits

For your hard work and dedication to this role, you will receive a base salary of $133,153 per annum pro rata + super.
In addition to this salary, you will have access to a further host of benefits, including:
- Accommodation allowance of $13,000;
- Electricity allowance of $1,440 p.a;
- District allowance of $2,920 p.a. (single) or $5,840 p.a. (double)
- Salary packaging options up to $30,000 per annum.
