About Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services
Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) is the peak regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Established in 1986, KAMS was formed to provide a unified voice for Aboriginal health and wellbeing, and to deliver centralised resources and collective advocacy in partnership with its Member Services. KAMS is governed by a Board of Directors made up of Aboriginal health leaders from across its Member Services.

Our purpose is to deliver holistic health and wellbeing outcomes in partnership with Aboriginal-led organisations, centred around Aboriginal culture and knowledge.
KAMS provides a wide range of services and programs to support our Member Services and improve the health and wellbeing of Kimberley Aboriginal people, in line with the ACCHS Model of Care. Our services and programs include:
- Kimberley Renal Services – renal health centres in Broome, Derby, Kununurra, and Fitzroy Crossing, a Mobile Dialysis Unit, and chronic kidney disease prevention
- Remote Services – comprehensive primary health care delivered through remote health centres in Balgo, Beagle Bay, Bidyadanga, Billiluna, and Mulan
- Mental Health – mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, and headspace Broome· Integrated Support Services – disability, aged care, and population health
- Kimberley Aboriginal Health Research Alliance – research and research partnerships
- Workforce – HR, WHS, training, workforce development, and Registered Training Organisation
- Corporate and Clinical Support – business services, communications, policy, finance, ICT, sector strengthening, and medical services including clinical governance and public health

Position Overview
KAMS has a highly rewarding opportunity for a ICT Admin Support Officer to join their team. This position will monitor our busy help-desk environment, assist with the maintenance and management of our electronic health record and process ICT user account requests. This role provides important support for staff working throughout the Kimberley and is part of a dynamic ICT team.
Skills and Experience
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in working with computerised client information systems preferably in a health setting
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
Desirable
- Previous experience working with MMEx (or other Electronic Medical software system)
- Previous experience working in a helpdesk or clinical admin environment
- Current driver’s license and availability to travel throughout the Kimberley
- A local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, with established connections to the region.

- District allowance $2,920 (Single) or $5,840 (Double) p.a. pro rata;
- Electricity allowance $1,440 p.a pro rata;
- Accommodation allowance $7,800 p.a. pro rata;
- Annual airfares subsidy to the value of $1,285 p.a. pro rata (after 12 months of service);
- 5 weeks leave p.a. pro rata;
