Podiatrist
The role of the Podiatrist is to provide best practice, culturally safe care to patients who have Diabetic foot concerns or complications in the Kimberley region. Working across KAMS Remote Clinics, Kimberley Renal Services and Member Services, this role will be a central triaging point to secondary care for Diabetic foot related concerns or complications.

Position description
As a Podiatrist, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, providing assessment and intervention for individuals living with diabetic foot concerns or complications. You will work closely with our partner organisations to coordinate client treatment and management objectives.
Your responsibilities will include providing timely care to patients, triaging to appropriate services, and offering pre and post-care follow-up for minor or major amputations and wound management.
In partnership with the Kimberley Foot Initiative (KFI) Health Promotion Officer, you will contribute to the development of reports in accordance with SAHMRI requirements. Building and maintaining effective relationships with external service providers will be crucial to ensure the effective delivery of required services and monitor progress towards agreed outcomes.
Candidate profile
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual with a genuine interest in improving Aboriginal health and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and registration to practise as a Podiatrist in Australia.
- Excellent knowledge of current Podiatry techniques, including wound management
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise, report, and coordinate across various levels
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Kimberley region, including overnight stays away from home
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one

Salary & Benefits
We are pleased to offer flexibility in employment arrangements to accommodate the preferred working style of the successful candidate. Two options are available:
Locum Arrangement
- Remuneration: $150 per hour
- Commitment: Up to 6 visits per year, with each visit spanning 2 weeks
OR
Permanent Full Time, 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
- Base salary of $124,036 per annum pro rata.
- District allowance of $2,920 single rate, $5,840 dependent rate pro rata per annum;
- Accommodation allowance of $13,000 pro rata per annum;
- Electricity allowance of $1,440 pro rata per annum;
- annual airfare of $1,285 pro rata after 12 months of service;
- Mobile Allowance of $100 per month;
- and a very generous salary sacrifice option
