Your Role as a Nurse Home Visitor

As an AFPP Nurse Home Visitor, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culturally safe, therapeutic relationship with pregnant women and families in the Kimberley region. Working alongside the Family Partnership Worker, you will deliver comprehensive home visiting services, focusing on client-centred care and community engagement.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an energetic and compassionate nurse who is ready to take on the challenges of community health work. If you possess the following qualifications and skills, we want to hear from you!

  • Current registration as a Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA and at least 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of primary health care principles within Indigenous health.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, along with clinical practise software.
  • Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Driver’s Licence and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to gain).

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role is $111,085, with additional benefits that promote work-life balance and professional growth. Additional benefits include:

  • Accommodation Allowance of $13,000 per annum pro rata
  • Electricity allowance of $1,440 per annum pro rata
  • District Allowance of $2,149 single or $4,298 dependent per annum pro rata
  • Annual Airfare of $1,285 pro rata payable after 12 months continuous service
