About the Opportunity

We are in search of dynamic and enthusiast professionals to be part of our multidisciplinary team. You will have an opportunity to work on the frontline of Aboriginal Health in some of the most spectacular and remote locations in Western Australia.  We have roles available throughout the regions of Kimberley, Western Australia. If successful, you will be responsible for providing best practice, discipline specific healthcare services to our clients in a culturally sensitive manner.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for the following positions;

  • Renal Health Centre Manager 
  • Registered Nurse - Dialysis  
  • Registered Nurse - Remote Area
  • Registered Nurse - Aged Care
  • Registered Nurse - Primary Health Care
  • Registered Midwife 
  • Allied Health Professional - Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Physiotherapist
  • General Practitioner - Senior Medical Officer
  • General Practitioner
  • Pharmacist

General Practitioner - Senior Medical Officer

  • Base Salary - $300,000 - $330,000 per annum pro rata
  • Accommodation Provided - utility and rent free
  • Fully maintained vehicle provided
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • 2 week study leave

General Practitioner

  • Base Salary - $270,000 - $300,000 per annum pro rata
  • Accommodation Provided - utility and rent free
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • 2 week study leave

Renal Health Centre Manager 

  • Base Salary  $139,000 per annum pro rata
  • accommodation provided

Midwife and/or Registered Nurse - Dialysis / Remote Area / Aged Care / Primary Health Care  

  • Base Salary $100,000 - $120,000 per annum pro rata
  • Accommodation Allowance or Accommodation Provided

Allied Health Professional - Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Physiotherapist

Base Salary - $109,277 - $137,041 per annum pro rata

In addition to the above salary packages, we offer the below benefits;

About the Organisations

Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) is a member based, regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO), providing support and representing the interests of eight independent ACCHOs from towns and remote communities across the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and Kimberley Renal Services, which is a wholly owned subsidiary. 

Kimberley Renal Services (KRS) was first established in Broome to provide access to haemodialysis services in the Kimberley. With vast distances between towns in the Kimberley and with increasing demand further facilities were built across the region which patient care is provided by General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Aboriginal Health Worker Practitioners. 

Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service which has been caring for the Broome community for more than 40 years.  BRAMS provides a comprehensive range of curative and public health services. These include clinic consultations by doctors and Aboriginal Health Workers, field orientated public health programs (women’s health, sexual health, chronic disease, under five) and provision of transport to those in need. 

Derby Aboriginal Health Service (DAHS) was opened in December 1998. DAHS has been established by Aboriginal people for aboriginal people, with the purpose of empowering Aboriginal people in the prevention and management of ill-health. DAHS provides Preventative and public health programs include maternal and child health, women’s health, chronic disease and sexual health. 

Yura Yungi Medical Service (YYMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service located in the East Kimberley town of Halls Creek providing primary health care services, along with holistic, culturally appropriate curative services with integrated preventative programs. ura Yungi was established in 1987 and provides a clinic service with preventative and public health programs including maternal and child health, women’s health, chronic disease and sexual health. 

Ord Valley Aboriginal Health Service (OVAHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service providing a comprehensive primary health care service to Aboriginal people in the East Kimberley region. OVAHS incorporates cultural understanding in providing accessible healthcare to improve equitable health and well-being outcomes. OVAHS work adaptively and with transparency to determine, prioritise, and meet the health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal people in our region.
